It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time

Apparently, I'm now on the Cupcake "Diet" - and by "diet" I mean "death march" - as my eating habits over the past few weeks will surely push me right out of my new jeans, which by the grace of Weight Watchers happen to be the smallest size I've worn since 'Nam. But let's be honest - could YOU resist a Peanut Butter and Jelly Cupcake? I think not.

This is actually the second time within a month that I've tried a PB & J version - the first being a delicious and delicate little number at Cupcake Jones in Portland with my escort/cupcake pimp, Mr. Jamie S. Rich.

On the left, a cupcake. On the right, also a cupcake. I seeeee youuuu Jammmmieee...

Tonight's selection came courtesy of a somewhat unusual source: Hill Country, which is known more for their BBQ than their bakery skills (and by the way, what's up with the BBQ places in NY owning all the cupcake action?). As one might suspect, a PB & J cupcake has peanut butter frosting and jelly in the center, and let me tell you, this was a super-sized monstrosity...of AWESOMENESS (which may or may not be a word you'll find on the SATs).

Yes, those are Reese's Pieces on the top.
E.T. phone home...and tell your people that this cupcake is way better than a Speak & Spell.

Surely, I've found the new "it" girl on the cupcake flavor circuit...just remember you heard it here first. I have to admit, I was only able to tackle half of it (Crazy Legs, I have failed you!), but I do want to point out that I used one of my cupcake plates while doing so (thank you Miss KiKi!).

'Course, one should also try to remember that said plate is not, in fact, edible as well.

A bit crunchy...but very filling!

So, how many POINTS for porcelain, do you think?

PS In case you were wondering - wrinkles on the forehead? Totally. Sexy.
